The landscape is an inspiration to us all. It is incredable how a single valley or mountain or coast line, or even a tree can change through the day and the seasons, producing such emazing shifts in color and tonal ranges. A favorite place for me to shoot the landscape is in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge located in the eastern portion os Alaska's Brooks Range. The Arctic sun remains low to the horizon for a large portion of the day providing warmth to exposed faces of the hills and mountains.
